Friendzr is an app which helps you easily find and connect with new friends, happenings and events in your neighbourhood.

A chance meeting between founders Shady Elkassas and Ian Hewitt turned what was little more than an idea into a shared vision: to help people find their way to friendship.

Friendzr soft launched in London in September 2022 on minimal budget, generating more than 8,000 downloads and almost 4.5K registered users across the UK to date.

Having bootstrapped our platform from MVP to Early Traction, we’re seeking our first round of external investment to supercharge our growth: investing in improvements to UX, increased marketing and, ultimately, penetration of overseas markets.

We’ve worked closely with our early adopters to create a platform that engages, and we’re now ready to make some further improvements and take it to a wider audience.

Online friendship could be worth up to $8.5bn in the next 5 years.
